In Aniralia, there is a tradition of spirits and foul creatures that dates to the millennia past, around the time of the country's formation. A story of harbingers of wickedness and dark evils, that would descend onto the world at the time when the moon is most treacherous, to ruin civilization - yet another to the list of reasons to maintain the flame of the Lantern, to illuminate the truth and destroy the illusions.
In the modern day, the story has become a simple myth, a story of times long gone by as the children adopt the legend as an excuse to travel from house to house, gathering chocolates and sour candies and all sorts of tooth-decaying confections. After all, it was just a silly story, a reminder of the harsh circumstances of Aniralia's historical birth at best, and a cheap attempt at a midnight ghost story at worst.
But with the influx of outsiders from other lands, something has changed. There seem to be other places where such horror stories are more realistic, more serious, where they often define their history to the present day. And with their influence, our terrors have been given shape and form, and have intermingled with these outsiders in ways we would not have imagined. But one thing is clear: the incarnations of those monsters have entered Aniralia by way of these unknown actors.

The Hallow's Omens are upon us, and they are hear to claim the end of our civilization. Perhaps brave heroes, unafraid of the dark of the monstrous spirits that corrupt the land and the people that tread it, will rid us of their message. And perhaps we shall be lost. These next few nights are worthy of prayer, for they may be the last messages anyone will ever hear.
